We have a blog!

Hey guys and gals. As you can see, OMV Student Ministries now has a blog! You might be wondering, "What's a blog?!" Well, a blog is a place where you can come and read about whats up with the youth group. You can also write messages and leave comments to me and the rest of the group. And I can post important information, Bible Studies, handouts, and pictures of anything pertaining to the youth group. I am sure you are overwhelmed with excitement.

Why have a blog for the OMV Student Ministries? I thought I'd give a few reasons why I believe having a blog might be a good idea for us.

1. A blog will allow us to find dates, times, prices, deadlines and other information for any upcoming events or activities. Now you won't have to search through all of those old folded handouts and bulletins to find out where you need to be and when.

2. A blog will allow us to keep in contact whenever we aren't at OMV.
I'm sure you get enough of me on Wednesday Nights; but if not, this will be the place where we can chat if we need to. You can leave me questions or prayer requests anytime you need to. It's good for us to remember that ministry and fellowship should happen outside the walls of OMV and the shed.

3. A blog will allow us to grow spiritually.
I will be posting the our Bible Study Handouts and outlines for you to go back to read, study, and mediatate over. If you miss a Wednesday night, you can find the Bible study you missed here. I will also be posting personal reflections and insights from scripture as I study and reflect.

4. A blog will allow us to be accessible by your friends who don't come to youth group.
Have a friend who might would benefit from a Bible Study? Send them here so they can get the handouts. Want your friends to see the pics from our last retreat? Send them here so they can see the pics. They might just decide to join us next time.
